I'm the breeder behind Hearthstone Goldens located in Ellerslie, GA. At Hearthstone Goldens, our program’s focus is breeding dogs for service or therapy work. We also offer pups to qualified homes as pets/companions; occasionally, we may grant breeding rights to exceptional breeders too. Our pups are raised in our home with 24 hr care. (Formerly Boho Goldens).
About Laura
I am a single mom of 5, an amputee, and a dog lover! I love being a breeder. It's so fulfilling to have the opportunity to see the positive effect that a beloved, furry companion can have on its family. I was born with a rare condition, which is eventually fatal. So I see breeding as my legacy, a way to spreading love & change lives one puppy at a time.
What makes Laura’s program special
I am a curriculum breeder who raises the pups in my home, around my family and children. I practice early sensory stimulation, various socialization techniques, potty train pups to sod & begin crate training at 6 weeks. Pups leave my home at 8 weeks fully vetted & microchipped. I believe it is important to match each pup to the home environment that suits and honors their personality the best.

Why Laura started breeding
My parents bred and showed AKC Shelties when I was growing up. My mom was squeamish and my dad was in the military and often away for training or deployment so I was delivering pups at just 16 years old! As an adult, I fell in love with the Golden Retriever breed and felt every famiky should have one so I decided to get into breeding too. I have been doing it for 15 years now!
Laura has been a member of Good Dog for almost 4 years
Laura was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2021.
Laura’s program includes one color

About Aspen
Aspen is 1/4 American, 1/4 Russian and 1/2 Ukrainian AKC Golden Retriever. Her father and maternal grandfather are both of champion lineage. Her mother is a champion and both her mother and father have good OFA scores (hips, elbows, heart and eyes) and her father has good PennHiP scores and her mother has excellent .38 PennHIP scores. Both of her parents as well as Aspen herself have been DNA tested for hereditary conditions. Lord, I could go on and on about this girl’s character all day long. I’ve never loved a dog like this one. She is so empathetic and insightful. She is the quickest study I have ever seen in a dog and she seems to know what you are thinking and anticipate what you want her to do. She’s never met a stranger and goes everywhere with me. We hike several times a month, she goes downtown with me to the restaurants, she’s the BFF of every dog she meets at the dog park, she has zero stubbornness in her and brightens every room when she walks into it. She even goes to the local dog friendly brewery here and everyone knows her or of her. Even if they have never met her they have heard about her. I get asked for my business card everytime I leave the house because everyone wants a dog just like her! She is currently enrolled in training to be a service dog and is learning far quicker than her trainer expected.
