I'm the breeder behind High Pines Spinoni Italiani located in Utopia, TX. Breeding to adhere to the standard and temperament are why we breed here. Every breeding is cherished and raised in our home and well socialized daily. We provide new experiences, sounds and textures to acclimate our puppies to the real world.
About Amy
The first time I saw my first Spinone, I was in love. I was intrigued with their personality, looks and demeanor. I got my first Spinone soon afterwards. She is a Grand Champion as is Olive.. Being a rare breed, I believe it is important to stay as close to the standard as possible and produce healthy, wonderful family companions.
What makes Amy’s program special
My dogs are treated as a part of our family. The puppies will be socialized with people of all ages, experience and enjoy 7 acres to run and play, and will come with health guarantees and open communication for the life of the dog. I have high expectations for my puppies and a detailed questionnaire. I will always take a puppy back if there is ever an issue.

Amy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $2,500 - $3,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“All our puppies will be the same price depending on the lineage and qualifications of the parents. Deposits are asked to hold your puppy. They will not be required until the puppy is 2 weeks old and healthy.”
Amy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Amy offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Amy directly.
We have 4 children from 11-22. The puppies will get tons of visitors and I will take a couple a day on a car ride to begin the task that can be difficult for new puppy buyers. This is where I think the titering will come in handy. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Bird Introduction, Potty Training, Leash Walking, "No" Biting or Chewing, Crate Training, Socialized with Children, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Sound Stimulation, Toys, e.g. Ball, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Strangers, Noises , Various Surfaces , and Outdoors (when Weather permits).
Puppies receive worming every two weeks. I titer/nomograph my girl to give the buyers a more precise vaccination schedule with unnecessary vaccines.
We send our puppies home with Vet records, Food & treats, Toys, Initial potty training, Microchip, AKC Registration, Blanket with Littermates Scent, Food Starter Bag, Vaccinations, and Volhard Personality Test.
Amy offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We don’t ship our puppies, but you can come to our home or we can meet you at either of the San Antonio airport.”
Why Amy started breeding
I co-ownes my first girl with the breeder & have grown my kennel from there. I fell in love with the breed and showing in confirmation. I believe in producing the best possible version of the breed. Temperament is a must and matching a puppy with the right owner.
