I'm the breeder behind Inspired Flat-Coated Retrievers and American Hairless Terriers located in Denham Springs, LA. My goals are to produce healthy versatile dogs that are also wonderful family members. My dogs are my life so when I do have puppies I want them to be cherished.
About Katie
I have served as a board member of the Louisiana Capitol City Obedience Club. I grew up going to dog shows with my mother and enjoy carrying on the tradition.
What makes Katie’s program special
I am fairly new to both breeds, but feel dedicated to keeping both healthy and versatile.
Katie is a member of 4 clubs
Louisiana Capitol City Obedience Club, Baton Rouge Kennel Club, American Hairless Terrier Club of America, Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America
Katie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,500 - $2,000.
“The price includes a healthy, well-rounded puppy raised with Puppy Culture methods, 1st and 2nd vaccinations, deworming, BAER (auditory testing) and DM testing for the AHTs.”
Katie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Katie offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Katie directly.
We follow the Puppy Culture protocol. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Puppy Culture .
They are de-wormed every two weeks and receive a vet check and microchip at 6 weeks. They are vaccinated at 6 and 9 weeks, but receive another vaccination if they stay past that. BAER testing is completed at 7 weeks for AHTs. We also test our American Hairless Terriers for DM.
We send our puppies home with Goody bag, Clothes, Treats, Microchip, Toy with Mom's Scent, AKC Registration, and Food Starter Bag.
Katie offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“I don't ship puppies, but will meet at the airport, willing to drive some distance to meet, and I have flow to an owner with a puppy at the buyers expense.”
Why Katie started breeding
I fell in love with both of my breeds for different reasons, and was introduced to the world of comformation by my mother.
