I'm the breeder behind Ka-Shira Shibas located in Columbus, OH. We’re devoted to ensuring the Shiba Inu standard is upheld. Therefore, less is more, we will not have several litters and all shibas are raised in our home. No Amish mill dogs, no kennel dogs, no unstandard coat colors, no unstandard physical features- our dogs are carefully selected by their pedigree and will only have one litter. All puppies will come with spay/neuter contracts.

About Kano
A very calm strong-willed boy, Kano whole heartedly believes he's a big dog in a small dog body! He's very confident and extremely loyal. He hardly ever barks and likes to groom himself! He's very much a classic stoic shiba, that has a very aloof but loving demeanor. Kano's very social and people/animal friendly, he's looking forward to his first litter with his girlfriend Shira. Kano is imported from Japan and had ancestry with Japanese bloodlines.

About Shira
Shira is a super friendly and active girl! She's super fast, extremely focused, and prey driven; she would have made a great hunting dog! (we don't practice hunting) Shira is also extremely cuddly and loves to be a lap dog! She listens well and extremely food motivated making her easy to train! Shira comes from AKC champion bloodlines; she will have a final litter August 2023.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Standard Veterinary Blood Panel
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
