I'm the breeder behind Kelly Hendrix's Cavalier King Charles Spaniels & Toy Australian Shepherds located in Ashwood, OR. We are huge animal lovers and have a special place in our hearts for our dogs. We do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families.

About Kelly
I've been breeding for over 20 years and strive to breed loving, well tempered healthy dogs. All of my breeding dogs are genetically tested.
What makes Kelly’s program special
I play with the puppies daily. They are started on going outside with the adults at 5 weeks and puppy pads are inside. Puppies are allowed to mingle with all of my adult dogs as soon as they're able to crawl out of their box. They're exposed to cats, farm animals and two Great Pyrenees siblings. My puppies love playing outside by the time they go to their new homes.

Getting a puppy from Kelly
Kelly has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. “Deposits are expected after the first vet visit at 7 weeks for me to continue to hold a puppy. I only require the deposit once I have sent a picture of the vet paperwork to prospective parents.”

What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are started on potty training to the outside and have an idea of how to use the dog door. They will still have accidents as they're puppies but the get the hang of going in and out of it and playing on their own outside in a fenced in yard. My puppies are exposed to Great Pyrenees and mingle with the adult dogs as soon as they're able to crawl out of their kennel and box. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Surface & tactile stimulation, Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, and Daily handling.
Puppy health practices
All puppies are weighed at birth and every week. They are dewormed every two weeks and will go to the vet at 7 weeks for their first puppy vaccination. I vaccinate with Nobivac Oral Bordetella before they leave my home.

We send our puppies home with Puppy starter kit, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Initial potty training, Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, Registration, Vet record, Puppy pads , Toy, Jar of food, and Blanket with Mom's Scent.
Bringing your puppy home
Kelly offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Ashwood, OR or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted flight nanny to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
