I'm the breeder behind Lake Time Chinooks located in Oronoco, MN. We are a family breeder helping to share our love of the Chinook breed with others. You will love our dogs as much as we do! Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to thrive with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be!
About Lori
We are a family of dog lovers! We fell in love with the Chinook breed over 10 years ago. We decided to start with two male Chinooks that we kept intact for breeding. Our first boy, Diesel, passed away at the young age of 10. Our second boy, Dragon, has successfully sired 2 liters. Once our children got a little older, we decided that we were ready for a female to keep open for breeding.
What makes Lori’s program special
We are not typical breeders. The puppies grow up in our home with our four pre-teens/teenagers prior to going to their forever homes. We stay in contact with each family and feel that the puppies we place will always be a part of our family.
Lori has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $2,500.
Lori may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Lori offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Lori directly.
Certified Good Dog Breeders put a lot of care into raising well-rounded puppies, often focusing on early training and socialization with children and other animals. While Lake Time Chinooks hasn’t shared details here about their specific practices yet, we encourage you to reach out to learn more about how they prepare their puppies to go home.
Certified Good Dog breeders ensure their puppies are healthy and ready for their new homes. Puppies receive the appropriate vaccinations and are dewormed or have a clear fecal exam before they leave. While Lake Time Chinooks hasn’t shared details about their specific health practices yet, we encourage you to reach out to learn more about how they care for their puppies.
Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Lake Time Chinooks hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.
Lori offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We do not ship puppies. The family would traditionally meet us at our home to pick up the puppy.”
Why Lori started breeding
We knew we wanted to help keep the Chinook breed going. They are wonderful companions, and so few litters are born each year. We felt an obligation to try and help.
