I'm the breeder behind Lakeview Bostons located in Brandon, SD. We focus on breeding healthy, high-quality Boston Terrier puppies. We enjoy showing our dogs and care deeply about this breed. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. This is where amazing temperament, intelligence, and beauty meet!
What makes Darla’s program special
Our dogs are part of our life, we first breed to show, and then place out pet quality puppies in amazing homes. We still are in contact with all of the families who have purchased a puppy from us. We feel it's important to keep in touch as our puppies are always a part of us. Anyone who gets a puppy from us becomes part of our Lakeview family!

Our puppies begin their socialization very early through a program called Puppy Culture. They are raised in our home and are well-adjusted to a home environment with different surfaces, steps, other dogs, our cat Goose, and are socialized with children of all ages. They are introduced to an open door crate starting at 3 weeks of age so they can learn it is a safe place to sleep. They see many different situations, noises, and ride in the car for many trips. Our goal is to socialize our puppies to a point that their transition into your home will be stress free! I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, and Puppy Culture .
All puppies are health checked by our veterinarian prior to going to their new homes. They will receive their first Da2ppv vaccine, de-wormed at 3,4,6, 8, and 10 weeks of age and will be microchipped.

Why Darla started breeding
We have been breeding dogs for over 20 years. We started with the Labrador and actively ran in AKC Hunt Test until our children were a bit older and became busy in sports so our dog travel began sports travel. We decided to then change to a smaller breed so I could show dogs, the Boston Terrier won my heart prior to breeding them. We rescued one from a horrible puppy mill, her name was Maddie, she traveled with us to our hunt test shows. That's when we began to look into the breed more.
