Douglas has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,200 - $2,500 and include a refundable deposit of $200.
“The price includes vet checks, first vaccinations, fecal testing, AKC registration papers (varies if animals are sold as breeding or non-breeding) and live-long support. Deposits are refundable if there aren't enough puppies in the litter to fulfill everyone's request or if the desired sex is not available.”
Douglas may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Douglas offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Douglas directly.
Socialization of the puppies beginning at an early age is a primary part of our breeding program. We use assessment tools such as the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test (PAT) which tests for social attraction, social dominance, elevation dominance, retrieving, touch sensitivity, sound sensitivity, sight sensitivity, and stability. And pups are introduced to livestock as soon as possible. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Surface & tactile stimulation, Weekly Nail Trims , outside play, Table Trained, Human Interactions , Puppy Manners, Name recognition , and "No" Biting or Chewing.
All pups receive vaccinations and are vet checked before leaving for their new homes. Fecals are also done prior to leaving.
Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Lambkin Lane Farm hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.
Douglas offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Work with a trusted transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at a meeting point close to home.
Why Douglas started breeding
Our first dog breed was the Dandie Dinmont Terrier and for 40 years we bred litters producing dozens of AKC champions including BIS and Specialty winners. Anatolians came into our lives when we introduced livestock to our lives and continue to amaze us with their versatility. Show dogs, guardians and as therapy dogs, they are the best.
Douglas has been a member of Good Dog for over 3 years
Douglas was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2021.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
