Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Long Mountain Long Dogs located in Franklin, WV. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! Our dogs are members of our family and are right by our side for daily life. Our experience with them inspired us to share their affectionate personalities with other loving families!

Q. & A. with Corrie

  • Why did you start breeding?

We’ve spent the better part of the last two decades with them invading our home and lives in the best ways possible and continue to immerse ourselves more deeply every day in the joy and love that is a dachshund! What better to do with a peaceful, remote WV mountain than cover it with long dogs? No roads as a threat, nature abounds, and their playground is the beautiful West Virginia mountains.
  • What makes your program special?

The love and care we put into it! All our mommas and poppas live in our home and are AKC registered, have complete OFA and genetic testing, and whelp in the privacy of our home. We are striving to meet the breed standard while raising pets with wonderful temperaments using the Puppy Culture Method.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Corrie and Keith really love the breed. They raise beautiful, socialized and healthy puppies. I recently bought a male pup and he is so smart, socialized, beginner potty trained and just a perfect representation of the breed. You can tell they care and I keep in touch with them because Maverick was so loved and cared for that I like them as people too. Fair pricing and reasonable application. Beautiful puppies too!
