I'm the breeder behind Long's lil Aussies located in Springfield, MO. We breed for trainability and love the versatility of the breed. We use our dogs for herding, agility, rally, 4-H, and on our ranch. Conformation, health, and temperament take priority with every litter we produce. The most rewarding part is the therapy and family dogs we have placed.
Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with Aussies, and have always had an Aussie in my life. We mainly used them for herding in the High Country of Western Colorado. Our son Jase, makes 3 generations of Aussie Breeders.
What makes your program special?
We do not breed just for size or color! We breed for conformation, disposition, trainability, and athletic ability. We love the all around Aussie that can work on the ranch, be a therapy dog, and a great family member!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
