I'm the breeder behind Lore Bichon Frise located in Meadow Vista, CA. I breed for conformation, health, and temperament. I have a very small breeding program and breed to produce my next show prospect. I enjoy participating in the conformation ring, especially in the National Owner Handler Series (NOHS) I am happy to tell you more about what life with a Bichon Frise is like and how they will not only enhance your daily life, but exceed your expectations!
Q. & A. with Roz
Why did you start breeding?
My breeder/mentor is Erayna Beckman, Legend Bichons, and I co-bred several litters with her. She encouraged me to step out on my own. I primarialy breed for myself, to produce my next show potential puppy. I am dedicated to improving my bichons with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.
What makes your program special?
I health screen my girls. I don't have the capacity to keep an intact make, so I am meticulous about the males I choose. I research pedigrees, talk to other breeders, and attend specialty shows to see potential stud dogs. I don't breed much, so when I do I want to do my homework in hope of producing a puppy better than the parents.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
