Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Lotus Australian Shepherds located in Jonesborough, TN. My focus is preserving the Australian Shepherd breed standard by raising structurally sound and correct puppies with excellent temperaments. I work hard to produce healthy, happy Australian Shepherds and I take great pride in my breeding program. I show my dogs in conformation. We are also competitive in other performance sports such as dock diving & fast cat. We also train in rally & scent work.

Q. & A. with Kristy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I decided to start a responsible, in-home breeding program in order to produce quality working dogs that also fit into a home setting. It's a personal passion and dream of mine to help spread love and joy through breeding Aussies while preserving the breed standard.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs and puppies are considered members of my family, and they get the best care I can possibly provide. I am dedicated to preparing my puppies to thrive as their best selves, and I work with integrity with everything that I set my mind to.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
