Meet the breeder
I'm the breeder behind Lotus Kennels located in Denison, TX. I only show/breed shih Tzu. I work to better the breed. I have a mentor that has been in this breed for over 30 years that continues to teach me about structure, movement, temperament and good breeding practices. I am actively involved in my local club as the secretary and we put on two specialty shows a year, I am also actively involved in my national club on different committees each year. I love this breed and want to see it continue to thrive, be healthy and be the best it can be to the standard.

Why did you start breeding?
My big brother had shown our Kerry Blue Terrier as a junior so I thought, hmm maybe we'll do that. At that point I got on AKC to start researching handling and found that local clubs would mentor new handlers so I found that there was a club in Dallas so I contacted them about meetings and went. That is where I found my mentor and it's all history from there. Never thought I would be a breeder and have more than a couple of shih Tzu!What makes your program special?
My goal is to raise the best Shih Tzu as closest to the standard as possible. I focus on temperament, structure, movement and health.
