I'm the breeder behind Lower Ridge located in Griswold, IA. Our breeding program is derived from a deep love and appreciation of this unique and beautiful breed. Our Rhodesian Ridgebacks are bred for health and excellent temperaments.

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with my family raising field bred Golden Retrievers that specialized in pheasant hunting. Our dogs were a must-have for every hunter here in the Midwest. We always had our dog's health and welfare as our top priority. Once I fell in love with the Ridgeback breed, I knew that I wanted to raise and show again. In 2016 I purchased my acreage and began building my dream.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is still new and growing. At the moment we only have two breeding females and one breeding male. Our dogs and pups live in our home and raised underfoot. They grow up with all the sights and sounds (and smells) of the farm and are socialized with endless snuggles and kisses.Where do your breeding dogs live?
