I'm the breeder behind Lucas' German Shepherds located in Esperance, NY. We have a unique line of Czech German Shepherd's from a World Champion lineage and family breed. Our Dam, Emma, is the absolute best dog we have every owned! We have loved her for 3 years and thought sharing her traits and capabilities with other families would be great! She is a perfect companion dog that is completely capable of much more!
Q. & A. with Lucas
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up on a family farm and during the summers, my parents breed Golden Retrievers. I was the chief puppy wrangler and loved growing up that way! Having helped mom and dad with over 13 litters, I wanted to give my children the opportunity to enjoy that same responsibility and love as I did!
What makes your program special?
We are a family unit in every aspect so these pups have a large amount of socialization and human interaction. This is pivotal for this breed and its ability to integrate into a household.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include long and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
