I'm the breeder behind Lynn Valley Labradors located in Kenton, OH. We have developed several protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all of our dogs. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcomes a happy and healthy new family member into their homes!

About Melody
I have been married for 25 years and have 3 children, ages 17, and twins that are 12. I love all of my dogs that we get to spend time with every day. I couldn't imagine my life without all of my furry friends.
What makes Melody’s program special
What makes my program special is all of the health testing that I do on all my dogs to insure that they have healthy puppies. We give each dog & puppy the care and daily attention, in our home to help them become well adjusted for their forever homes.

Litter update on 23 Jan. •Yesterday was a HUGE DAY! Chubbs & Sparklers litter went to have their first puppy visit. Everyone’s check up was a success so all the puppies can travel to their forever families!

Getting a puppy from Melody
Melody has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,100 and include a non-refundable deposit of $325.
“The price includes health guarantee, contract spay/neuter clause, blanket with moms scent, microchip, puppy packet, medical records, updated vaccinations and de-wormed medications, lifetime support, photos/videos and updates as your puppy grows. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or size. Includes registration and microchip.”
Contract and health guarantee
Melody may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Melody offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Melody directly.
What's included
Enrichment and socialization
ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) is performed with all of our puppies to insure they are friendly and well adjusted. These exercises help with physical & mental development, improving their immune system function and increase their ability to cope with stress. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Potty Training, Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, and Various sounds.
Puppy health practices
Our dogs are also OFA tested.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Initial potty training, Puppy starter kit, Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, Basic obedience & manners, Microchip, and Registration.
Bringing your puppy home
Melody offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Kenton, OH or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at a meeting point close to home.

Why Melody started breeding
Growing up as a child our family breed and raised golden retrievers. I always loved playing with the puppies. It was always a dream of mine to do the same with my family.

Melody was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2023.
Melody’s program includes four colors
Melody’s Labrador Retriever puppies are black. Melody’s Dilute Retriever puppies include charcoal, silver, and champagne. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

About Chubbs
Chubbs is an AKC registered English black Labrador Retriever. He is a beautiful boy with great bloodlines, is very companionable, loves to run fast & play with our other dogs & loves people of all ages. He also has been OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) & DNA tested.

About Sparkler
Sparker is an English Silver Labrador Retriever. She is AKC registered. She also has been OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) and DNA tested. She loves other dogs and loves seeing new people, wanting to play with anyone that will play with her. She also is an excellent momma!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
