I'm the breeder behind Mama & I Yorkshire's located in Portland, OR. Our goal is to produce adorable, affectionate Yorkie puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. Our dogs are carefully picked and bred to produce wonderful companions for their future families! We hope to find each puppy a loving forever home.

About Rose
This is a 2 house hold combo made of Daughter and Mom. We both love our Yorkies and have had love for yorkies for 19 yrs now. It all started with me when I purchased my first yorkie at age 16 while working at the mall and attending high-school. I didn't get things served on a silver platter and worked very hard for everything I was to own and it included my first Yorkie ever.
What makes Rose’s program special
I'd say the many years involved of me learning, educating myself and knowledge on this breed that i have. Honesty is the best policy. There is so much more too breeding then just a male to female, and quite frankly a lot of people do not care to do it right. I've come to learn that, and it's why my dogs go as pets only to avoid any injury or harm to them even in their new homes. I owe my dogs that!

Getting a puppy from Rose
Rose has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $2,500 - $4,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“This price includes guarantee, akc limited registration or APRI for most our dogs ONCE spay/neuter certificate has been provided to us. These pups will be partially dewormed and have atleast 1 vaccine before leaving, the pups will be raised as one with our family, including our strictly indoor cats. Our puppies are individually priced based on set of parents, temperament body, size/confirmation and color. All are sold as PETS ONLY on spay neuter contract. Deposit are non-refundable and are to be made once you're name is up on waiting list and within 24hours. If you'd like to chat first give me a call, if no deposit is received i will move onto next person inline. Deposit go towards overall price and reserve your puppy for you.”

What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies will be exposed to daily life living, including family affairs, house cleaning, brooms, mops, vacuums dishes, television, radio, our cats, children's toys and overall be well socialized. They will be introduce to puppy pad training, kennel and playpen training will be started. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Various sounds, Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Surface & tactile stimulation, Socialized with children, Car rides, start of puppy recall with treats, Children and other pets, Early stages of crate training, Outdoors (when Weather permits), Car Rides, crate training, Various Surfaces , Noises , Structures, e.g. Climbing, Chew, e.g. Bone, Socialized with Elderly, Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Children, and Potty training readiness, introduction to crates, exposure to potential audio triggers such as thunder, lightning, etc..
Puppy health practices
All puppies will have atleast 1 set of vaccines and 1 puppy veterinarian visit before going to New home. This does not include their first 3 day vet visit.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Toys, Puppy starter kit, Food & treats, Vet records, Registration, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Vaccinations, Puppy Starter Kit, Bone, Blanket with Littermates' and Mom's scents, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, and Depending on the individual puppy he/she may not be ready to leave at 12 week. 12 weeks is the earliest, but not the latest we release our pups.
Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Portland, OR or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted flight nanny to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

Why Rose started breeding
I grew up raising chickens, pigeons, Doves, sphynx and Devon Rex(cats)I got my first dog at age of 14 a chihuahua mix, shortly after someone asked to stud him for a up in return- only to find out i had allergies. Then I saved up enough to buy my 1st hypoallergenic yorkie and met my mentor who started me on this path I am on now and with time I keep learning from more.

He is the son of my past stud who passed away. Goldi carries parti gene, he is a traditional gold and silver boy and is helping me bring back his dad's lines. He does not come of any championships, but I plan to in the future keep back a pup or 2 of Goldi's and start showing to make something of them. He is not available for stud.

Her great great Grandfather (CH Tyava's Sure Shot) was also Best of Breed 2007, 2008, & 2009. He was ALSO number 1 Yorkshire Terrier IN 2006, & 2007. She comes from a long line of show and champion yorkshires.

Pepper is a 7lb Parti colored Yorkie. She is originally from Texas. She is a sweetheart who absolutely loves kids and loves being outside and running around everywhere. She is Akc Registered and all her pups can be as well. She is my only colored yorkie on my side of the program and only carries traditional and parti- no other colors.

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
