I'm the breeder behind Mufasa's Pride (Newfoundland breeder) located in Newmanstown, PA. Our Newfies are incredible family dogs, and we love raising them alongside our children. Every one of our dogs is adored by us! We have 3 dogs. Willow is our oldest and isno longer a part of our breeding program. We adore her and her personality. She is about as perfect as a Newfoundland can get-gentle and sweet and she adores being near our kids and babysitting them. Scarlett is our second and we haven't bred her yet. We love how protective she is with our family and her love for playing in water. Mufasa is our youngest. It's so fun watching a boy grow up after having two girls. He has a lot of puppy energy and loves people. He also loves to play with Scarlett in any body of water they find.
About Brittany
We are a family of 7. My husband had always wanted a Newfie and I wasn't sure. I grew up with Pugs, so it wasn't until he convinced me and I met Willow I was sold on the breed.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Standard Veterinary Blood Panel
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
