About Meaghan
Anatolian Shepherds are a breed that dates back several thousand years to the Central Anatolia mountains where they were utilized by Turkish shepherds as flock guardians. Today, we still use these dogs as guardians to protect our livestock from local predators. We strive to produce effective guardians that are also healthy and successful in the show ring.
What makes Meaghan’s program special
Our dogs are bred to maintain long, successful working lives. We use health testing to ensure we are doing our best to minimize any heritable conditions our dogs may pass along. Although not all diseases can be prevented, we do our best to breed healthy dogs with the correct temperament and structure. We are very dedicated to preservation breeding of the Anatolian Shepherd.
