I'm the breeder behind Nariba Kennels located in Bedford, TX. The goal of our breeding program is to produce dogs with a phenomenal temperament and excellent health. Dogs who can thrive in the show ring as well as at home on the couch.
About Ellen
Although I am very involved in showing my dogs, they are beloved companions first and foremost. I decided to responsibly breed them as a way to connect my pups to others that will love them just as much as I do.
What makes Ellen’s program special
My long-term goals are to uphold what breeds truly were. I don’t believe in making a dog something that it wasn’t bred to do. I believe in health and temperament over anything else.

My girls give birth and raise their puppies the first few weeks in my bedroom. The puppies are then moved to the living room for a time, this allows them to become accustomed to sights sounds, and smells within the home. Puppies are also allowed to play outside on treated areas weather permitting. I introduce basics to all the puppies so the new owners can solidify them easier. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with children, Socialized in new places, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Name Recognition, Grooming Desensitization, Temperament Imprinting Evaluation, Noise Desensitized, Food Manners, Household Desensitization, Toys, e.g. Ball, Texture stimulation, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Birds, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Children, Boundary Understanding , “No” command, Initiate Crate Training , Initiate Outdoor Potty, Early socialization, Biosensor Training, Initial House Training, and Initiate No-Bite Training.
Puppies receive their first vaccine(s) prior to leaving. They will also leave started on heartworm medication and flea medication if applicable. All puppies have a health certificate.
We send our puppies home with Registration, Microchip, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Puppy starter kit, Food & treats, Vet records, Toy with Mom's Scent, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Puppy Starter Kit, Certificate of Health, Food Starter Bag, Vaccinations, AKC Registration, Blanket with Littermates Scent, and Microchip.

Why Ellen started breeding
My family grew up raising Golden Retrievers and a family friend got me introduced to the show dog world. I started off working with sighthound breeds and as I grew older my preferences developed. When I was 16 I settled on Great Danes. In 2021 I expanded and added Italian greyhounds. I have since retired from Danes and work only with IG’s.
