I'm the breeder behind Nefer-Temu Pharaoh Hounds located in Vancouver, WA. Pharaoh Hounds have been our passion since 1993! We have had great success in many venues of dog competition. Health testing is a priority for us, as is producing well-rounded, athletic hounds with breed-typical temperaments. Our hounds are equally as comfortable in the show ring as on the couch!
About Emily
At Nefer-Temu we focus on breeding well-rounded hounds that can excel at whatever they are asked to do, be it the show ring, lure coursing, performance events, or just being an athletic and engaging family pet, or a jogging/hiking/biking buddy. Puppies are bred for health, temperament, and to meet conformation standards. We are serious about preparing our puppies to thrive in their forever homes.
What makes Emily’s program special
We are proud of the fact that Nefer-Temu has the most Versatility-titled and OFA health tested Pharaohs in the USA. In the show ring, we have had many Top 5 ranked, group winning specials over 30 years and many generations of breeding, and over a dozen Best in Field winning lure coursers. Our puppies are raised in the home with the help of our kids and go to their new homes well-socialized.

Why Emily started breeding
Emily obtained her first Pharaoh Hound when she was 11 years old. She was an avid junior handler and 4-H-er, and her first Pharaoh introduced her to other AKC events. 6 years later, after proving herself by showing 3 Pharaohs to their AKC Championships and various other titles, Emily obtained her exceptional foundation bitch, "Samba," and now, 30 years later, she is still in love with the breed!
Emily has been a member of Good Dog for almost 4 years
Emily was screened for responsible practices and has been a member since 2021.
Emily’s program includes four colors
Emily’s Pharaoh Hound puppies include tan, rich tan, red golden, and chestnut. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
