Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind NewBliss located in Arlington Heights, IL. We are passionate about this breed and committed to preserving the legacy of this ancient and very special breed. Our dogs live in our home with us. We are a small breeder focused on breeding and raising healthy, happy family pets. All of our breeding dogs are health tested to ensure that their offspring will never be at risk for any of the diseases that are common to Lagotti.

Kim’s experience

  • About Kim

My husband and I have enjoyed being dog owners for many years. We are enjoying being recent empty nesters as it has given us an opportunity to delve into showing and breeding these amazing dogs that we love so much!

  • What makes Kim’s program special

We consider our breeding program to be a "boutique" type of program. We are small and do not have many litters, so we are very discriminating about where we place our puppies. Our hope is to foster a family environment where our puppy families get to know each other (and us) and our litter siblings have opportunities to see each other as they grow up. Temperament and early training/socialization are of the utmost importance to us as we know they can make a difference for our puppies and their new families to have a successful and happy life.

More about Kim

  • Why Kim started breeding

We did a lot of research and talked to many current breeders and dog show enthusiasts to make sure this was something we were going into with our eyes open. We had to find breeders who would work with us to help us make good decisions on our choice of foundation dogs, how to determine good mates, necessary health testing, and a myriad of other things.
