About Raven
While we are very involved in showing our dogs, they are beloved companions first and foremost. We decided to responsibly breed them as a way to connect our pups to others that will love them just as much as we do. Our dogs have enriched our lives in ways we never imagined, and we are so happy to be able to share the wonderful qualities of the breed with others. Owning a Coonhound or a Bracco Italiano is a beautiful experience, and it would be our honor to connect you with the perfect new addition to your family.

Puppies are raised within our home, socialized to our children, other dogs, and other pets. They are accustomed to car travel from early on. We begin recall training with their first meals and introduce clicker work soon after. We follow Puppy Culture protocols, introduce crate training and basic obedience commands. Pups accompany us to work after 6 weeks of age for further socialization. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Children, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Other Animals, Household Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Touch Desensitization, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Stores, Sound Stimulation, Various Surfaces, Car Rides, Outdoors, e.g. rain, Scent Stimulation, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), "No" Biting or Chewing, Leash Walking, Crate Training, Clicker Training, Name Recognition, Basic Manners, Basic Obedience Commands, Initial House Training, Recall Training, and Conformation Training.
Puppies are vaccinated according to veterinary health standards (AVMA recommendations). The dams are treated with Panacur during pregnancy to prevent parasite transmission and puppy litters are screened for parasites at least twice, and treated as needed. Puppies are examined at 6 weeks of age and microchipped. CAER (eye) exams are done on all litters at 8 weeks of age.
We send our puppies home with Microchip.
Raven offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.
