I'm the breeder behind Paw Prints located in Richmond, VA. Our puppies are family to us. Their well-being is most important, while they live with us and after going to their new families. Our puppies are typically ready for their new families by 8 weeks of age, however, should we feel they would benefit from a little more time with mom we will keep them until we decide it's safe for them to transition into a new home. All puppies are on a regular deworming schedule starting at two weeks of age, receive age appropriate vaccines and are vet checked before leaving us. If, for any reason, a puppy needs to be rehomed after going to their new home, we ask that the puppy be returned to us.

Getting a puppy from SARA
SARA has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,000 - $3,500.
“The price includes applicable registration (AKC, CKC, ASDR) age appropriate vaccinations, regular deworming, and vet check.”
Contract and health guarantee
SARA may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized with children, and Various sounds.
Puppy health practices
All puppies receive age appropriate vaccines, regular deworming and are vet checked before leaving us.

We send our puppies home with Vet records, Registration, Toys, Food & treats, and Puppy goody bag.
Bringing your puppy home
SARA offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Richmond, VA or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

SARA’s program has two sizes
SARA’s Dachshund puppies are miniature size. SARA’s Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary by litter based on the parent dogs.
SARA’s program includes 12 colors
SARA’s Dachshund puppies include fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, red, brindle, and black and tan. SARA’s Pomeranian puppies include chocolate sable, black and tan, blue merle, orange, cream, beaver sable, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
SARA’s program has two coat types
SARA’s Dachshund puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
