I'm Dixie A., the breeder behind PDA Goldens located in Hooper, UT. We breed and raise Golden Retrievers on a small family farm that is dedicated to the health and happiness of our animals. Hi, I'm Dixie, and I have owned Goldens for over 20 years and love this breed so much. We have bred horses for many years and only decided to look into breeding Goldens when we were scammed while purchasing a puppy 9 years ago. Our goal is to breed healthy happy puppies and provide them with loving and suitable homes.
Q. & A. with Dixie
Why did you start breeding?
I have been dedicated to the care and happiness of my animals my entire life. I chose to be a stay-at-home Mom many years ago, and with the bonus of raising my kids on a farm, I was able to dedicate myself to my kids and animals. I trained and bred horses for many years, but I have spent the last few years totally focused on my dogs and learning as much as I can about the breed.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program came about several years ago because we love the Golden Retriever Breed so much. When our family Golden passed away at 13 years old, we were scammed while trying to purchase our next Golden. I soon found that there were far too many faulty Breeders, and I knew with my background with animals and breeding that I could provide amazing, healthy puppies to families.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
