I'm the breeder behind PNW Havanese located in Silverton, OR. Our commitment to producing healthy, well-adjusted puppies that make great family pets, starts with picking health tested and stable tempered parents. Our puppies are born in our home and are raised on a service dog curriculum (BAB). They are handled daily and socialized with our children.
About Jenna
PNW Havanese is a small family program. Our dogs are a part of our family. Our children are involved in socializing and interacting with our dogs.
What makes Jenna’s program special
Our puppies are raised on puppy curriculum. We utilize ENS and BAB (advanced service dog program similar to Puppy Culture). They are exposed to novel items, sounds and situations to empower them to handle stresses and become confident, well-adjusted dogs.

Puppies are here! 6 boys and 2 girls. Mom did great. I’ll be posting individual puppy pictures soon. We still have a few openings on the waitlist.
Richard and Nora's litter

Nora is getting all settled in to her maternity suite. We’ve moved her bed to her whelping box so she can get used to. She is looking very pregnant and ready to have those babies. We saw 6-8 puppies on the ultrasound which is a lot for this breed! This is her retirement litter so we are excited to her meet her last litters of puppy. We still have a couple openings on the waitlist.

Puppies are now 5 weeks old. They are playing and exploring. Everyone is doing a great job of using the potty pads and keeping their beds clean. Today they got to finally play with the older 1/2 sister (same dad), Lilly. They have been safely meeting the other dogs through the fence and are so anxious to play with them that they were excited that Lilly finally got a few minutes of supervision play. Puppy picks are starting in a week. After that I will update who is left. I still have a couple spots left on the waitlist. Reach out soon. Soon we will start introducing them to crates. Vet exam is scheduled for the end of the month. Puppies will be ready to go to their new homes April 3rd.

We are expecting mostly red & white and black & white puppies Reach out for more info. The waitlist is open. Puppies are due March 17th and will be ready to go to their new homes mid-May.

I was a vet tech for many years and saw a need for well bred, healthy companions. So many of the health issues we saw at the clinic could have been avoided by better breeding.

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
