I'm Darlene P., the breeder behind ReiMur Labradors located in Seattle, WA. I actively show, work, and health test my dogs to ensure I am producing Labradors that exude breed type, have natural desire to do the job for which they were intended, and make healthy, happy companions. My dogs are all beloved family members who live in the house.
Q. & A. with Darlene
Why did you start breeding?
After years of showing and competing with my dogs, researching pedigrees, and becoming active in my breed club, my mentors generously offered to co-own Magic, a beautiful bitch line-bred on CH Monarch's Black Arrogance, with me for a litter born in 2007. This litter produced my beloved Fergus and his sister Kelly, my foundation girl.
What makes your program special?
I breed only when I am ready for my next generation and the dogs have proven themselves worthy of being bred. Because I breed infrequently, I am able to spend quality time with my dogs. I support my puppy homes for the life of the pup and have developed great relationships with my puppy families, many of whom have come back to me for their next family companion.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
