I'm the breeder behind Rodel Shibas located in Aspers, PA. When you get a dog from us you become a part of our extended family. You might say we come with the puppy. We are here to help you with any problem you have with your new family member. We are responsible for all the dogs we produce till the day they are no longer here.

    As breeders, we feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of our puppies and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for prior to joining their forever homes.

  • What makes Tom & Sandie’s program special

    We know where every dog is we have ever bred. We do a rescue fund drive of our puppy people each year and this year we collected over 10 thousand dollars for dogs less fortunate than ours.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Our puppies are socialized and well-rounded before they leave our home. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Puppy Culture , Outdoors, e.g. rain, Various Surfaces , Noises , Socialized with Elderly, Touch Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Puppy Manners, Crate Training, and Potty Training.

Puppy health practices

All puppies have seen the vet for their health certificate. They are dewormed, have their 1st round of puppy shots, and are pretty much housebroken.

Extras

We send our puppies home with Microchipped , Puppy Collar, Vaccinations, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, and AKC Registration.

Pick up your puppy in Aspers, PA or nearby

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Gonioscopy, Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • OFA/CHIC DNA Repository

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
