I'm the breeder behind Secret Garden Pointers located in Casco, ME. Whether hunting partners or family pet our dogs will meet your needs. We have references from prior families who both hunt their pups or just enjoy their companionship. Our sweet pups are raised on 14 acres and are spoiled with hunting , swimming, car rides and fetch. Each day includes love from our in home family daycare children. There’s no better way to be socialized than with a variety of children interacting with them.

Why did you start breeding?
Breeding was not something I planned on doing but when I had a dog years ago that I had purchased developed hip dysphasia, I never wanted another family to go through that. I searched out a great stud dog and researched a way to do right by other dogs to try and prevent health related issues.What makes your program special?
We are very small scale breeding program. This will be our final litter for Modi and Harbor. Our dogs get all day attention and their needs and energy levels met. We are forever complimented on their calm demeanors for their breed. I believe that is because their energy needs are met.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black roan, liver roan, liver and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
Puppies from Tara are $1,800 and include a deposit of $400.
“The price includes tails and dew claws removed, AKC registration, OFA hips and elbows cleared, deworming, first vaccines, vet health clearance. Sire DNA testing. A deposit will hold your order of puppy selection.”

Hip Dysplasia
