Q. & A. with Lisa and Lizzie
Why did you start breeding?
Having always loved small lap dogs and then fallen in love with the Havanese, I decided I was interested in showing and breeding. My love for animals and interest in science and research made breeding beautiful Havanese puppies with adoring temperaments and good health very rewarding. There is nothing like hearing from a family and how much they love their puppy, even into old age.
What makes your program special?
We assure that our parent dogs are all health tested. We go above and beyond the breed recommendations for health checks, do genetic testing and DNA diversity testing. Our dogs live in our home as family members and our puppies are raised right beside us. We use the Puppy Culture training program for early development. Our puppies are well loved, well socialized and a pure joy.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white, cream, red, silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
