I'm the breeder behind Shasei located in Paint Lick, KY. I am a small hobby breeder of carefully selected Salukis. I breed to the breed standards, and it is my goal to better the breed. I am purposeful in everything that I do regarding my dogs, which includes careful selection of breeding dogs and extensive health testing. My goal is to produce healthy dogs with great temperaments that are exemplary representations of the breed.

About Sharon
Although I am very involved in showing my dogs, they are beloved companions first and foremost. I decided to responsibly breed them as a way to connect my pups to others that will love them just as much as I do.

I am an experienced breeder, and I take my role seriously. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed, including health, temperament, pedigree, and complementary traits, so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents.

I do all that I can to expose my puppies to new experiences, smells, and noises during crucial development periods. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Children, Socialized with Cats, Crate Training, Socialized with People, and Socialized with Adult Dogs.

My puppies’ health and wellbeing are my top priorities, and they get the best care I can provide.

Why Sharon started breeding
Salukis are an incredible breed, and I decided to start my breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities I found in my dogs. They excel both in and out of the show ring. I am dedicated to improving my lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.
