Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Shrivers' Sweethearts located in New Cambria, KS. Our dogs are members of our family, first and foremost. We offer top-quality, healthy puppies from our loving home to yours! We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to its forever home. We're passionate about our program and take pride in our pups.

Deborah’s experience

  • About Deborah

I'm an RN at the local Mental Health Clinic and married to a wonderful, supportive husband who is able to be home all day with our fur babies! We've had pets for 17 years and have had wonderful experiences with providing fur babies for others to love and cherish as much as we do!

  • What makes Deborah’s program special

We're just an older couple who lives in the country and love what we do. Our fur babies' parents are our pets and loved as members of our family. Our puppies are all hand-raised and socialized with the very great assistance of our 23 grandchildren. We also have a large country area for them to run and play and grow in! We want to ensure others can experience the same joy that we have found in raising these wonderful dogs and we've had much success with that through the years. It's very rewarding!!

Enrichment and socialization

Our puppies are born in our home, played with daily once eyes/ears are open, and are socialized with other dogs and many humans, as we have several children and grandchildren who visit regularly! They have a multitude of toys and appropriate chewing opportunities, and initial potty training is started as well. We handle them as much as possible to assure they are loving and well-adjusted. . I utilize the following enrichment methods: Various sounds, Scent introduction, Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Noise Desensitization, Crate Training, Human Interactions, Early Neurological Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Adult Dogs, "No" Biting or Chewing, and Potty Training.

Puppy health practices

All puppies are vet checked after birth when tails are docked and dewclaws are removed. We follow up with the vet as needed if anything is identified as problematic. So far, we have not had any reason to follow up due to the health of our puppies.

Extras

We send our puppies home with Toys, Food & treats, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Initial potty training, Vet records, Health Records, and Toy and blanket with littermates and Mom's scent.

More about Deborah

  • Why Deborah started breeding

We started with just our family pets, but then we had people asking where they could get a sweet, loving, fun, non-shedding and hypoallergenic pet for themselves after meeting our pups. That is when we decided to share the love, so to speak, and bless others with fur baby love, too!
