About Lesley
We are small breeder of quality AKC Long Hair Miniature Dachshunds. My personal favorites are Black and Creams and Black and Tans. We have been blessed with dogs from Wildwynn, Coolrunnin and Bacchanal champion lines and we are curating puppies that have OUTSTANDING TEMPERAMENTS, beautiful coats, heads and paws and we breed so that our adult dogs look like the hounds that they are bred to be.

We love our dogs, and have selected each and every adult with your puppies in mind; we hope we can provide all families with the loving pet or show potential puppy they seek. We have wonderful lines and most have champions in them - but we understand not all puppies are destined for the ring, some are just meant for your hand and heart - as the most “flawless” dog is the one that makes you happy!

Getting a puppy from Lesley
Lesley has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,850 - $3,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $400.
“The price also includes: a Vet well visit, Fecal testing, 1st round vacs, de-worming, AKC Registration (submitted about 12 weeks after you receive a puppy) and lots of pre-loving! Our deposits are non-refundable, unless we cannot fulfill your request (puppy health, breeder pick). If YOUR circumstances change, we transfer your deposit to the balance of future puppy.”
Contract and health guarantee
Lesley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Lesley offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Lesley directly.
What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are well adjusted, playful and all of our parent temperaments are exceptional. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Scent introduction, Various sounds, Car rides, Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Daily handling, Surface & tactile stimulation, Socialized with other dogs, Socialized with children, We litter train our puppies by 4 weeks which makes crate training very easy., and Litter Box Trained.
Puppy health practices
All of our puppies are vet vaccinated, and seen in their eighth week for a vet well check, vaccinations, bite and testes review as well. They are de-wormed at 2 (nemex) 4 (Nemex) 6 (fenbenzadole) and eight weeks. We are happy to replace any puppy that shows sign of a genetic or life-threatening malady, and will give you a copy of our replacement health guarantee upon request.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Puppy starter kit, Toys, Food & treats, Vet records, AKC Registration, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Puppy Starter Kit, Certificate of Health upon request, $35, First Puppy Vaccination , Rear dew claws removed when possible , Vaccinations, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Blanket with Mom's Scent, Food Starter Bag, and Blanket with Littermates Scent.

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

Why Lesley started breeding
My daughter Lane bought a doxie, Remi, when we returned to Medina from the NYC area, hence our tag “On, In, Over Medina Lane” homage to Remi, Lane and our home town. Then we added Skidmore, a buddy for Remi. They were separated when she was in heat, but nature took its course! We fell in love with the breeding process and the joy of curating litters and bringing healthy puppies to loving families.

Lesley’s Dachshund puppies include brindle, fawn (isabella) and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, chocolate, dapple, blue and tan, blue and cream, black and tan, black and cream, cream, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
