I'm the breeder behind The Kennels at Tate Farm located in Hattiesburg, MS. We commit ourselves to preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence! We live on a small family farm in South Hattiesburg.

About Christy & Eric
…Eric is a full time carpenter and electrician by trade, and I was a stay at home mom of three. Once our children grew up and out of our home, we decided to live out a long time dream and build a large family home on a mini farm. We have always had the heart for farming, growing, building, and most importantly, watching our family enjoy the beautiful land that God has blessed the Earth. Quickly into our new adventure, we realized the need for farm dogs. Hazel and Tua, the beautiful Bassets, joined our family after many years of searching. We fell in love with our duo and decided to share our love with other families that want to add this precious breed to their families!

Getting a puppy from Christy & Eric
Christy & Eric has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,000 - $1,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $400.
“Our pups are CKC Registered The price depends on the litter and color. After being matched with a puppy a deposit must be made to Reserve your pup.”
Contract and health guarantee
Christy & Eric may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Christy & Eric offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Christy & Eric directly.
What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are well-adjusted to the home environment. We start crate training, Potty Training, following commands, daily. After 6 weeks vet check up and vaccinations they start exploring outdoors around the farm. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Various sounds, Puppy Manners, Sit Command, Crate Training, Potty Training, and Socialized with Children.
Puppy health practices
All puppies are health checked and age appropriate vaccinations before going home with new parents.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Food & treats, Vet records, Registration, Initial potty training, and Basic obedience & manners.
Bringing your puppy home
Christy & Eric offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Hattiesburg, MS or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
