I'm the breeder behind Triple Creek Kennel located in Capron, VA. We breed for health, trainability, physical soundness, high natural desire and performance and an all around great attitide with loving temperament. Our ultimate goal is to produce the perfect versatile dog, a family companion and driven working dog.

    We are a hobby breeder focused on quality, extensively health tested, versatile working Labrador Retrievers and Boykin Spaniels that are bred for hunting and a variety of sports but are also great family companions.

    We are dedicated to providing healthy, sound puppies. We require health testing on all of our breeding dogs as well as outside females that use our stud services. We uphold standards set forth by the Labrador Retriever Club and Boykin Spaniel Society. Our entire program is dilute free!

Getting a puppy from Michelle

Michelle has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $2,500 - $5,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.

“Our price includes: prepaid AKC reg. with your choice of name, UKC litter enrollment, BSS litter enrollment (Boykin), prepaid AKC Reunite microchip, core vaccines and deworming, vet checkup with documentation. All of our puppies in a litter are the same price regardless of sex and color.”

Michelle may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Enrichment and socialization

Our puppies are raised in our home, are monitored very closely and are handled daily from birth until they leave at 8 weeks of age. I use various Puppy Culture methods each week as puppies grow and develop. This includes ENS and ESI. We strive to give your puppy the very best start to a successful life. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Daily handling, Socialized with other dogs, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Noises, Initiate No-Bite Training, Regular Grooming, nail trim, clippers, bath, blow dryer, brushing, etc., Beginning Potty training with a potty box, exposure to sounds, sights, smells and touch using our years of experience and the Puppy Culture program., ENS, Crate Introduction, Puppy Pad Potty Training, Scent Introduction, Crate Training, Potty Training, Biosensor Training, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Sound Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Touch Desensitization, Toys, e.g. Ball, Chew, e.g. Bone, Scents, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Grooming Desensitization, Puppy Culture , Noise desensitization, Basic Manners, Socialized with Other Animals, Noises , Various Surfaces , Noise desensitized , Texture stimulation, Car Rides, Avidog, Outdoors (when Weather permits), and Crate Training .

Puppy health practices

Puppies follow an appropriate de-worming schedule, receive 1st vaccines, receive a fecal and wellness exam from a licensed veterinarian, and are microchipped.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Dentition

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
