More about Andrea

  • Why Andrea started breeding

I knew I wanted to be a small hobby breeder from a very young age. From the first time I whelped and raised a litter with my family at a very young age. I was ALL hands on.I fell in love with it all ! IT STUCK TO ME FOR LIFE! I continued learning all aspects of ethical animal husbandry as I got older. And the more I learned the more passionate about it I became. One of my favorite aspects of it is the grooming. But of course all dogs also need training, premium nutrition, babies need top canine neonatal care, all prospects need health testing/screening ,how to read and study pedigrees, breed standards, genetics and so much more. And YES I am still learning. I DO NOT KNOW IT ALL. I felt I found my life's purpose in working with dogs so starting a breeding program for me was a lifelong planned decision. I always knew I wanted to be a breeder at some point in my life. Seeing how much love and joy puppies bring into this world it's amazing and to be a part of that is truly a blessing. My family and I are blessed to be able to do this and we do it with love dedication and pride. Bringing a puppy into a family is very much like hand picking a baby to adopt. So in a way I am a surrogate but instead of babies I have puppies that bring so much joy .
