I'm the breeder behind Unity Great Danes & Staffs located in Cleveland, OH. We are hobby preservation breeders who show and health test our Great Danes. We are designated AKC Breeders of Merit. We teach our puppies to be family companions and great breed ambassadors. Breeding healthy, well-rounded and happy dogs to the standard is our goal.
About Callie
I grew up in a pet loving home and the love affair has never stopped. I love to show my own dogs. Sharing the love of dogs with people by providing healthy, well-tempered companions for families that want their pet to be part of all family life.
What makes Callie’s program special
My puppy owners still call and thank me for doing the research of parents, early mental stimulation, and socializing with my puppies that allow them to have healthy, easily trainable, and loving family members. I try and do more work with crate training, potty training, and simple obedience before they leave me to make it easier for new owners to keep the training going.

Callie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. We do have puppy parties where the pups meet new people and show their prowess on certain physical equipment. Having 17 grandchildren helps with getting them used to "kid noises". We employ ENS, Puppy Culture and meeting and engaging with all types of people with all types of clothing, hats, canes, etc. are the best teachers. I utilize the following enrichment methods: exposure to agility tunnel, wobble board and other novel items, Leash Training, Early stages of crate training, Outdoors (when Weather permits), car riding , Various Surfaces , Early Neurological Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Socialized with Children, and Noises .
Litters are checked by our vet at 3 days old and have dewclaws removed. All puppies are checked at 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and 8 weeks for worms. We find that worming dams before the birth of pups help in the fight of worms. Any positive result and the entire litter is wormed. We follow Dr. Jean Dodds protocol for vaccinations.
We send our puppies home with Vaccinations, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Microchipped , Toy with Littermates' Scent, Food Starter Bag, and AKC Registration.
Callie offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“As airlines have restricted puppies being shipped recently, the owner would have to arrange for ground transportation with a reputable pet transporter OR meet half way within 2 hours of us OR pick up puppy from our home. The last option would be less stressful on your puppy.”
Why Callie started breeding
In high school after attending my 1st dog show, I wanted to be able to breed, train, and show my own dogs. We searched for a few years while raising children and started on the path to fulfilling my dream. Great mentors filled me with important knowledge while also sharing some pitfalls to be aware of. I learn something every day.
