I'm the breeder behind Wendy's Weenies located in Franklin, TN. My goal is to responsibly raise and train my puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed, including health, temperament, and complementary traits, so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents.
About Wendy
I started off as a cat person, but my first Dachshund, Franco, converted me into a dog person too! Dachshunds are like chips and you can't have just one! :) I love their silly antics and how devoted they are to their family.
What makes Wendy’s program special
Health is my number one priority. I want your four-legged friends to have a high-quality life and to remain active into old age.

Wendy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,800 - $2,200 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200.
“Price includes: Embark DNA testing, microchipping, deworming, first vaccines, and health evaluation by a licensed veterinarian. Deposit is due upon approval of the puppy application in order to hold the puppy. Deposit applies toward the total purchase price.”
Wendy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Wendy offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Wendy directly.
Puppies are raised in our household and have exposure to adult dogs, cats, and older children (older than 10 years). We start crate and potty-training, but they will not be experts at 8 weeks and will need to continue their education in their new homes. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized with children, Various sounds, Potty Training, Crate Training, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Cats, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, and Socialized with Children.
All puppies are dewormed with pyrantel pamoate, given the first distemper/parvo vaccine, and evaluated by a licensed veterinarian.
We send our puppies home with Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Registration, Toys, Vet records, Microchip, and Food Starter Bag.
Wendy offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We don't ship our puppies, but you can pick up the puppy at our home or we will meet you at our local airport (BNA).”
Why Wendy started breeding
I started off fostering mama cats for a local animal control center. Through that experience, I learned how important it is for mothers and their babies to have appropriate prenatal and postnatal care to ensure the babies get the best start in life. Breeding allows me to select for traits that will improve the health of the Dachshund breed for future generations.

About Junie B.
CKC registered. We joke that Junie B. is rare and elusive as she likes to hang out in her "den" and watch what everyone else is doing. She will come out and enjoy a Benebone on the couch or sneak in some kisses from under the kitchen table. She is the first to call out the other dogs if they are doing something naughty. One of our "barkers", she is a wonderful, devoted mom.
