About Kay
I am an Animal Scientist educated at Washington State University (BS), UC Davis (MS, PhD), and Cornell Veterinary School (Post-Doc). I have owned Borzoi since 1970 and Greyhounds since 2001.
What makes Kay’s program special
I breed for sound minds and sound bodies. My dogs are beautiful, intelligent, and easy to live with. I try to raise them to be bomb proof.

Puppy prices range from $3,000 - $3,500.
“The price includes AKC registration, all vaccinations and de-worming, DNA profile, and Health Certificate. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. If you want to purchase a puppy, send payment in full.”

I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Elderly, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Children, Recall training, Car Rides, Travel Training, Weekly Nail Trims , Initial House Training, Noise desensitization, Doggy door training , Human Interactions , Car Training , Basic manners, Name recognition , Crate Training, "No" Biting or Chewing, Leash Walking, and Potty Training.
Certified Good Dog breeders ensure their puppies are healthy and ready for their new homes. Puppies receive the appropriate vaccinations and are dewormed or have a clear fecal exam before they leave. While Wildwood Hounds hasn’t shared details about their specific health practices yet, we encourage you to reach out to learn more about how they care for their puppies.
We send our puppies home with Early Neurological Stimulation, Vaccinations, Puppy Collar, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, Breed Club Registration, Blanket with Mom's Scent, and AKC Registration.
Kay offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“I will work with you to get your puppy transported to you, but it is your responsibilty to arrange transportation. You can arrange for a fight nanny, or ground. My preference is that you come to San Diego to get your puppy.”
Why Kay started breeding
I bred my first litter of Borzoi in 1976 and my second in 1992. I breed to have something to show and course. I bred my first Greyhound litter in 2005. I usually only breed my bitches once, since litters are a lot of work.
