I'm the breeder behind Woodside located in Orange, VA. I strive to produce quality puppies that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive and have wonderful temperaments. As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize each of my puppies’ overall health and temperament and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for before joining their forever homes.

My Russell Terriers are bred first and foremost to be loving family members possessing intelligence, sound structure, and a gentle demeanor. I’m passionate about raising well-rounded pups who will excel in any venue with their new families. I do all that I can to provide the very best for each of my puppies - a clean environment, quality food, and lots of toys and socialization. I prepare all of my pups to excel in life.

I care about the Russell Terrier breed and do everything in my power to breed sound dogs to ensure healthy and happy puppies. My puppies’ health and wellbeing are my main priorities. Susan has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.

What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Puppies are introduced to other household dogs and various people. They have many toys and items to explore and develop their brains. They are also learning to potty outside. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Car rides, Surface & tactile stimulation, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Various sounds, Socialized with children, Socialized in new places, Various Surfaces, Early Socialization, Puppy Temperament Evalulation, Crate Training, Puppy Culture, Name Recognition, Human Interactions, Basic Manners, Potty Pad Training, Texture Stimulation, Outdoors, e.g. rain, Chew, e.g. Bone, Toys, e.g. Ball, Touch Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Children, Socialized with Elderly, Puppy Manners, Socialized with Adult Dogs, "No" Biting or Chewing, and Potty Training.
Puppy health practices
All puppies are vaccinated and dewormed. A fecal sample is also run. If any health problems are detected you will be notified. I also microchip the pup before it leaves me. A veterinarian examination will also be performed before they leave for their forever homes.

Bringing your puppy home

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
